One of my favorite quotes from McKailyn occured as soon as initially found our seats. She sat in her seat, looked at the field and immediately said loudly, "What! This isn't football!!"
Now with us all scattering across the country, hopefully we will all still be able to keep in touch and up to date on all the great things happening in each others lives.

Red's Game 4.18.08
Friday April 18, Jocelyn, McKailyn, & I went the Red's game, everyone had a good time (due more to the cotton candy & popcorn than the actual baseball game)! This was McKailyn's first baseball game so she was very excited.

Jocelynisms
At church during Easter service Jocelyn sat with us since she wasn't feeling well. During Pastor Dave's sermon at Vineyard Community Church:
Jocelyn: "Dad"
Me: "Yes Jocelyn? Please whisper."
Jocelyn: "Dad, this is boring. I already know all this stuff."
Me: "What?"
Jocelyn: "This is boring, I already know this stuff, I learned it in school."
Me (dumbfounded): "Well, just be quiet because there are people sitting near you who don't know this stuff yet."
During the week I ran home at lunchtime.
Me: "Hey, where's Addison?"
Jocelyn: "Oh, she's in the other room sleeping in her playpen"
Me: "Oh, OK, I'm glad she's sleeping."
Jocelyn: "You know Dad, she's kinda of like a cricket."
Me: "What? A cricket?"
Jocelyn: "Yeah, you know, she sleeps during the day and she's awake at night making all that noise."
Me (dumbfounded): "Uh, um, I guess you're right."

Addison's First Outfit
More Beautiful than my Dream
Some of you already know, but a little more than a month ago, Jocelyn (5 yrs old) informed us that she had a dream about the baby. So, of course we asked what her dream was all about. She looked us straight in the eyes and said:
"Daddy, I had a dream that the baby is so pretty. I mean Dad, she's like just so pretty and beautiful. I can't wait to see her."
She went on and on and she even started to tear up a little....she was so excited knowing that her soon to be born baby sister is so pretty.
Well, as you can see below, Jocelyn & McKailyn got to meet Addison for the first time yesterday. After a while, I got Jocelyn's attention and asked her, "So, Joc, what do you think.....is she as pretty as you thought?" Of course, I was not too sure what her response would be.
Jocelyn turned and looked at me, and without even hesitating, she said, "Dad, she is even more beatuiful than my dream."
At that point, I tried to remind myself that she is only 5.
Amazing.

"This is God"
A conversation at our house yesterday.
Jocelyn: "Why didn't the baby come out last night?"
Me: "The baby will come out when God says so."
McKailyn (in the deepest voice a 3 year old girl can create): "This is God, get your baby out!"

McKailyn's Easter Songs 3/18/08
Listen to McKailyn right around the 2:30 mark. What she is saying is:
"Mommy why aren't you clapping?"
All the parents in the room are clapping after the song, but Jill is holding the video camera, so obviously she couldn't clap.....obviously, this excuse doesn't work for a 3 year old! :-)

Full Term
After 37 weeks, we are at full term and ready to go! We had an extra ultrasound yesterday and the docs confirmed (with no doubt at all) that we are having a girl. Her growth, size, heartbeat, fluids, bowels, etc... are all perfect. Her head is already down, so Jill is hoping she goes into labor sooner rather than later!

New poll
Check out the new name poll to the right!
We think these are our final three......we hope.
All is well, just about 5 weeks left.
Side note, please check out the link to the right, below the poll.
My friend created her own online Bible study and has done a great job.
It's free and very helpful.
